Naciones Unidas,(EFE).- La ministra española de Defensa, Carme Chacón, trató hoy con el secretario general de la ONU, Ban Ki-moon, el establecimiento de un tribunal internacional para juzgar a los piratas somalís capturados por las fuerzas internacionales que patrullan el Índico. Ambos se reunieron en la sede de Naciones Unidas para dar un repaso a la situación en Somalia, el Líbano y la puesta en marcha del centro de comunicación del organismo mundial en la localidad española de Quart de Poblet, en el este del país. Ban anunció durante la reunión que el general español Alberto Asarta permanecerá un año más al frente de la Fuerza Interina de Naciones Unidas para el Líbano (FINUL), después de que asumiera el mando de la misión en enero de manos del general italiano Claudio Graziano.
